Holly Waldron
Office Manager
There are two types of pediatric practice in Anchorage. Most pediatricians here work in large group practices, with several pediatricians working together in one office. This arrangement has certain advantages, such as extended office hours. On the other hand, Dr. Briggs is a "solo" pediatrician, meaning he is the only medical provider at his clinic.
Many families prefer one doctor for their children—someone they can reach seven days a week, 24 hours a day, in an emergency. For these families, a solo pediatrician may be the preferred option. Dr. Briggs can generally be reached 24 hours a day for emergencies. If he is out of town--usually about three weeks each year--another pediatrician will take his calls.
At Dr. Briggs' office, we know that medical care is constantly changing, with rapid increases in medical knowledge and innovations in treatment. We believe firmly in scientific, evidence-based medicine. We stay up-to-date with medical innovations, discoveries, and treatments and engage in constant learning. At the same time, there is an "art" of medicine that develops from years of experience and encounters with thousands of patients. Our goal is to combine the most up-to-date practices in pediatric medical care with more than 30 years of clinical experience.
